What we collect

Account details

Your name, email address and a hashed password. We never store your password itself — only a one-way hash, which cannot be reversed back into the original. We also store a short-lived token when you verify your email or reset your password.

What you put into Memorix

The subjects, chapters and topics you create; your notes; the links you save; your flashcard decks; and any files you upload. Uploaded files are stored in object storage and served to you through short-lived signed links, so they are not publicly browsable.

Study activity

When a review is due, when you graded it and how, and your streak. This is what makes scheduling work — without it, Memorix cannot decide what to show you today.

Technical data

Standard server logs (request time, path, status, an anonymous request id) and, for AI features, a record of which feature ran, which model served it, how many tokens it used and how long it took.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not use your notes or study material to train our own models.
• We do not run third-party advertising or tracking pixels on the app.

AI processing

When you run an AI tool, the material you paste in is sent to a third-party model provider to generate the response. That means your text leaves our servers for the duration of the request. We log the metadata of the request — feature, model, token counts, cost and latency — but not the content you submitted or the response you got back.

Providers have their own retention and processing terms. If you are working with material you cannot share with a third party, do not paste it into the AI tools; the rest of Memorix works without them.

Email

We send transactional email: verification links, password resets, and revision digests. Digests include the topics due and the links you saved for them. You can turn email off entirely in Settings → Notifications without affecting anything else.

Sub-processors

We rely on a small number of third parties to run the service:

• An AI model provider, for the AI study tools (only when you use them).
• An email provider, to deliver transactional mail.
• Cloud hosting and object storage, for the application and your uploaded files.

Where your session lives

Signing in issues a short-lived access token and a longer-lived refresh token, held in your browser's local storage. Clearing your browser storage signs you out.

Retention and deletion

Your content stays until you delete it. Deleting a subject, chapter or topic removes everything nested inside it. To delete your whole account and its contents, email us from the address on the account and we will remove it.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to support@memorix.app and we will action it.

Children

Memorix is intended for people aged 16 and over. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will say so in the app rather than quietly updating the date at the top.
